New partner up in the Ayr

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has promoted Ayrshire-based surveyor David Breingan to partner.

Having joined the firm 20 years ago in the Glasgow office, Ayr born and bred Mr Breingan moved onto a short spell in Kilmarnock then to Ayr for several years, before taking charge of the Saltcoats office, becoming an associate ten years ago, covering all residential surveying work in North Ayrshire, including Isle of Arran and Cumbrae.

Commenting on his promotion, Mr Breingan said: “I’m delighted to be made partner with responsibility for the North Ayrshire housing market which, as it continues to recover from the impact of Covid, has been booming with sale prices exceeding Home Report values in most cases and record numbers of Home Reports being carried out.

“Indeed, it’s been our busiest time for some years, with a record number of sales seen by our Saltcoats office. And while some of the highest sale prices in excess of Home Report valuations have settled down of late, they still arise and Home Report valuations are being maintained across the board.”

Commenting on Mr Breingan’s promotion, Graeme Stewart, Managing Partner, said: “David’s promotion is testimony to the tremendous contribution made by him to his clients and the firm over an extended period.

“His promotion reflects the levels of activity within North Ayrshire’s busy residential property market and underlines our position as one of the leading Chartered Surveyors and Property Agents within Ayrshire.”

Originating in Scotland in 1880, with a network of 34 offices, Shepherd offers a multi-disciplinary property service encompassing a comprehensive range of residential and commercial services.
