Who
Auchterarder-born Andy Boal is our Head of Rating, based in our Dundee office.

That was then
Having started his career with the Grampian Assessor in the early 1980s, Andy joined a private practice firm in Aberdeen before moving on to Glasgow in 1997 and then to Dundee where, in 2004, he set up an office for a national commercial property practice. Andy has over 35 years of experience in the commercial property world, with particular focus and expertise in non-domestic rates.

This is now
Andy joined Shepherd in 2017 as Head of Rating. Although based in our Dundee office, Andy has a nationwide remit to head up our team of rating experts throughout Scotland.

Rest and play
Andy is a keen sports fan and will happily spend his spare time watching – and occasionally participating in – football, rugby, golf, cricket or tennis. Otherwise, he can often be found cycling, cooking or being taken for walks by his dogs.
